1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account data: email address, social-login identifier (Google, Apple, TikTok, Facebook), display name, age confirmation.
- Usage data: device type, browser, operating system, IP address, approximate location, session timestamps.
- Live media: real-time video and audio streams during a chat — these are not recorded and are transmitted peer-to-peer where possible.
- Safety signals: reports, moderation flags, block lists, and behavioural metadata used to keep the community safe.
2. How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- operate, maintain and improve Monkey Run App;
- match you with other users in random video chats;
- detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse and violations;
- communicate with you about service updates and support;
- comply with legal obligations.
3. Live Video & Audio
Live chat streams are processed in real time for moderation (including AI safety models) and are not saved to our servers. If a stream is reported, a short buffered segment may be reviewed by our safety team and then deleted unless legal retention is required.
4. Cookies & Analytics
We use first-party cookies and Google Analytics 4 (with IP anonymisation) to understand how the Service is used and to improve it. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, although some features may not work as expected.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:
- service providers (hosting, analytics, moderation) bound by contract;
- law enforcement when legally required;
- successors in case of a merger, acquisition or asset sale.
6. Data Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. Live streams are not retained as described above.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Email privacy@monkeyrun.app to exercise these rights.
8. Children
Monkey Run App is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. International Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your data.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or via email. Continued use of Monkey Run App after changes constitutes acceptance.
